Springtime in San Jose is unlike anything in the world. The Rose Garden is beginning to bloom, the Giants are gearing up for a new season, and the Happy Hollow Park and Zoo has activities in full swing. Warmer weather is just around the corner, and we’ve almost gotten to the end of the rainiest season…while noticing some leaks we hadn’t noticed before. 

In San Jose, we’re more likely to see heavy rain in February or March than in other Spring months. That makes April the perfect time for those tiny leaks to have fully grown into ceiling damaging, furniture destroying, can’t-fix-with-duct-tape leaks. Preventative maintenance is vital, but that’s an unimportant sentiment after the fact.  

What To Do When You Spring A Leak 

As a business owner or maintenance manager, we know there’s a lot on your plate. Beyond things going on with your building, you’re probably busy with things going on at home, too. We hope you could get some preventive maintenance done before it started to rain this Spring. But we won’t judge you if you forgot. 1. Put something under the leak to catch any falling water, like a bucket, bowl, trashcan, or pot
   
2. Use towels to remove any standing water from the floor and add “Wet Floor” signs around the leak area
   
3. Cover or move furniture that is exposed to the leak
   
4. Call us!
